As a Consultant and Solution Partner, The Advisory House has successfully delivered more than 400 client projects since its inception – we always think in projects.
For us, the foundations of successful project management are integral part of our daily practice - from time constraints to the definition of work packages, from budgeting to status tracking as well as quality assurance and active risk management. Many people know the tools and procedures for this but unfortunately the typical project manager often spends too much time with it and thus puts the project’s success at risk.
We pay attention to things that are often left out in day-to-day project life but are essential for the project’s success. These include establishing clear responsibilities, in particular the presence of a project sponsor with decision making authority, steering the project based on a business case, strict scope management, identifying and taking care of all stakeholders as well as enabling a professional organisational change that provides for an broad acceptance of the new solution.
Based on our experience it is only with the focus on the supposed fringe themes together with the reduction of stereotypical project manager behaviour that sets the project’s success.
